The AOC is the go-to sparring partner within Avans for students who want to start a business or already run their own company. We stimulate entrepreneurship and help you develop your ideas, strengthen your skills, and grow your venture.
All Avans students, regardless of programme or year of study, who:
- want to start their own business or further grow an existing one;
- want to become more entrepreneurial;
- are interested in entrepreneurship programmes, workshops, or events.
- Coaching & personal guidance
- Workshops, trainings, and events on entrepreneurship, personal development, and talent development
- Student Top Entrepreneur Scheme (STOR)
- Networking opportunities with other students, entrepreneurs, and professionals
- Collaborations with other knowledge institutions and organisations, such as Startups for Society and B’Wise
- BOOST Student Teams for hands-on experience in innovative projects
You can apply through the Avans Entrepreneurship Centre (AOC). After registering, you will be invited for an intake interview with one of our business developers. Together, you will work on your business and your personal entrepreneurial development. You will then prepare for a short presentation for the STOR committee, in which you show what you do and how you are growing as an entrepreneur. If you are approved, you will receive the official Avans Student Entrepreneur status and can benefit from all the advantages of the scheme.
No problem! You are always welcome. You can participate in workshops, brainstorm with our coaches, and explore what suits you. The AOC also helps you find and develop new ideas.

Yes! Many AOC activities and programmes are bilingual or in English. International students can also participate in projects, workshops, and coaching.
