Info-event Honours Impact Programme

Are you seeking an additional challenge during your studies? Would you like to explore topics that you don't find in your regular coursework? Then the Honours Impact Programme might be perfect for you!

During the Honours Impact Programme (HIP), you will explore diverse topics with students who, like you, want to take their time at Avans to the next level. The programme allows you to define your own goals and criteria to achieve them. Additionally, a community of like-minded Honours students will be formed. The programme consists of two phases, each lasting six months. 
  
Content 
In phase 1, the focus is on your personal purpose statement and exploring a theme that suits you. You will learn through research and experience, working individually and as a community, and in collaboration with the Centers of Expertise within Avans. Attention will be given to self-awareness and your connection to the world: how do you want to be meaningful and what do you want to contribute? 
  
In phase 2, you will make an impact outside the walls of Avans. You will further explore the topic of your choice, refine your impact plan, and put it into practice. You will be supported by inspiring workshops and masterclasses. At the end of the program, you will demonstrate how you and your project have made a significant and lasting impact. 
  
Practical information 
The Honours Impact Programme lasts one year, consisting of two phases, and starts in October 2024. You will participate in the programme alongside your regular studies. The average time investment is 4 to 8 hours per week. Every two weeks, we will meet in person with all Honours students. These sessions are on Wednesdays from 16:30 to 20:30 (including dinner). 
  
Information event Honours Impact Program 
To find out if the programme is right for you, there are various information events. During a one-hour session, you'll get a sense of the programme, meet fellow students, and learn about Honours' ins and outs. There will also be time to ask questions.
