Are you flying through your education and are you looking for an extra challenge? Do you want to delve deeper into subjects that you don't have the space for within your studies? Then the Honours Impact Programme is for you!
During the Honours Impact Programme (HIP), you will delve into current themes together with students who, like you, want to go ‘the extra mile’. You will be given the opportunity to define your own goals and criteria that you will achieve. An involved community of like-minded Honours students will be created. HIP consists of 2 phases of 6 months each.
Content
You start with phase 1: clarifying what you want to delve into further during your programme. You will also look for who you are and where your strengths lie.
Then, in phase 2, you will delve deeper into your chosen subject. You will follow inspiring masterclasses and conduct research outside the walls of Avans. You will complete the programme with your own project, with which you will independently (with fellow students) make a meaningful impact.
Practical
The Honours Impact Programme lasts one year, consists of 2 phases and starts in October 2025. You follow the programme alongside your studies. The average time investment is 4 to 8 hours per week. Once every two weeks we meet physically with all Honours students. This is (for now) on Wednesdays from 4:30 PM to 8:30 PM (incl. dinner).
Honours Impact Programme info event
To find out whether HIP is really something for you, there are various info events. In a short session of one hour you can get a taste of the atmosphere, meet fellow students, Honours coaches will inform you about the ins and outs of the programme and of course there is plenty of room to ask your questions.
