Honours Impact Programme: Phase 1

Are you flying through your studies and looking for an extra challenge? Are you naturally curious and ambitious, and do you want to dive deeper into topics that your regular curriculum doesn’t always cover? Then the Honours Impact Programme is perfect for you!

During the Honours Impact Programme (HIP), you’ll explore current and relevant themes together with fellow students who, like you, are eager to go the extra mile. You’ll have the freedom to define your own goals and criteria, and you’ll share responsibility for shaping the content of the programme. You’re in control! And you won’t be doing it alone—you’ll be part of a close-knit community of like-minded Honours students and coaches.

Programme Content
In Phase 1, the focus is on developing your personal purpose statement and diving into a theme of your choice. You’ll learn through research and hands-on experience—individually, as a community, and in collaboration with researchers from Avans’ Centers of Expertise. The emphasis is on self-awareness and your connection to the world: how do you want to make a meaningful contribution, and what impact do you want to have?

In Phase 2, you’ll make an impact outside the walls of Avans. This could be achieved through contributing to research or by executing your own impact plan. Throughout the programme, you’ll receive guidance through (peer) coaching, workshops, and masterclasses. At the end, you’ll showcase your project and demonstrate the lasting impact you’ve made.

Throughout the entire programme, you’ll be supported by professional coaches and experts from both inside and outside Avans.

Good to know: we are recruiting both a Dutch-speaking and an English-speaking group. For certain activities, these groups may be combined.
